Mazatlán International Center
The Mazatlán International Center (MIC) is a state-of-the-art convention facility located in the heart of Marina Mazatlán, Sinaloa, Mexico. Strategically positioned within the city’s tourist zone, it offers easy access to the Golden Zone, Cerritos, and Nuevo Mazatlán, also known as Emerald Bay.
Facilities and Capacity
Spanning a total event area of 28,238 square meters, the MIC is designed to accommodate a wide range of events, from large international conferences to intimate meetings. The center features 17 versatile salons, a 3,174-square-meter exhibition area capable of hosting up to 282 stands, and a grand ballroom of 3,539 square meters that can be divided into six separate rooms. Additionally, the facility includes a double-level exhibition space adjacent to a spacious outdoor terrace, complemented by lush green areas and gardens suitable for various events.
Technological Advancements
Equipped with cutting-edge technology, the MIC offers high-speed wireless internet, advanced audiovisual equipment, and a comprehensive public address system. The center also provides 13 plasma screens distributed throughout the venue, along with multifunctional printers available in both black and white and color. These features ensure seamless communication and presentation capabilities for all events.
Artistic and Architectural Highlights
A distinctive feature of the MIC is its artistic architecture that pays homage to Mazatlán’s maritime heritage. The northern wall of the building showcases an eclectic mural combining painting and sculpture, composed of 105 detachable concrete panels covering an area of 1,678.43 square meters, making it one of the largest murals in the world. The surrounding gardens are adorned with sculptures that enhance the center’s unique character.
Additional Services
The MIC offers a range of services to support event organizers, including a press room, registration area, six loading docks with ramps, and two service elevators with a capacity of 1.8 tons each. The facility is fully air-conditioned and features a hydraulic and sanitary network, an automatic emergency power plant with a six-hour capacity, and illuminated gardens equipped with electrical outlets. On-site catering services, professional advisory, and logistical support are also available to ensure the success of every event.
